How to Trust Jesus

We are qualified to come to Jesus just as we are. The great I am wants us heavy burdened and all. Our trust of Him increases the more we get to know His character.

In our moments of suffering, we are given the opportunity to get to know more about who Jesus is. He wants to let his presence be known to us. Not only through his Spirit, but through the spirit of others. God designed your good days just as he allowed the arrows to move through and hit you on the bad days.

Let others love you with their actions and remember the truth of who God is.

His plan was so perfect he also lined this heavy burden with his warriors who are there to hold you up and remind you of who God is and what his character says he will do. We were not designed to do life alone.

It’s in suffering where he takes us heavy burdened and all and wraps us up in his tender, welcoming, understanding, open and loving arms. Sometimes it’s people around you who are the hands and feet of Jesus. They wrap you up and shower you with his truths. It is in those times where we tangibly see and feel God at work.

The more God reveals His character to you in the bad days, the more you’ll see and trust him in all your days. The next time you find yourself in a trial, force yourself to remember the truths about who God says he is.

Maybe you need to remember that everything in the bible is 100% true. Or maybe you need to be reminded that when we are persecuted, God is blessing you. How about the part where he promises to hold us up with his righteous right hand.

Sit quietly and surrender the will of your heart so that you can hear what the Holy Spirit wants to teach you about your heavenly father’s character. Once you know who He truly is, you won’t have any other option but to trust in the Great I AM.

  1. G’day and thanks for sharing, one of those good reminder posts!

I really like it when you said “The next time you find yourself in a trial, force yourself to remember the truths about who God says he is.” cause it’s so true, that using all of our energy at times just to remember his truth is often the exact thing we need to keep going. At an old church i went to they had a sermon series called Gospel on repeat, talking about the importance of remembering the truth daily. Your post reminded me of that.

  2. When we finally come to the end of ourselves we clearly see our Father in heaven. From time to time we can be the road block keeping us from the narrow road we’re trying to get to. So true what you said: Sit quietly and surrender the will of your heart so that you can hear what the Holy Spirit wants to teach you about your heavenly father’s character.Be Blessed in Him!
